ROLE PURPOSE:
The Connections Admin will:
  • Provide administrative support for Central Connections Pastor
  • Have a multiplication mindset (discipleship mentality) to build a volunteer admin team to help with certain admin tasks (Ephesians 4:11-12, Matthew 28:19-20, 2 Timothy 2:2)
  • Take the lead and oversee Next Step Class including set up, clean up, ordering supplies, organizing forms, hospitality team, RSVP’s, and monthly check-ins
  • Take the lead in administrative work for baptisms including communication, logistics, organizing, volunteer recruitment and scheduling.
  • Be a Planning Center Expert (PCO)
  • Oversee Connection department workflows
  • Proactively ordering Connections Department supplies as needed
  • Provide interdepartmental communication as needed to ensure all departments at Southstone Church are kept well informed regarding anything Connection Department related
  • Order supplies for Dream Team as needed
  • Assist in training Dream Team in PCO
  • Assist with Small Groups administrative duties as directed by the Connections Pastor
  • Assist with large scale events for the Connections Department including but not limited to Small Group campaigns, Dream Team Rally, trainings and vision nights
  • Recruit and manage Hospitality Team to utilize for events and other needs
  • This position includes regular weekend responsibilities for all services with the goal of scheduling off two Saturdays per month. This is subject to ministry needs and discretion of Connections Pastor.

The Connections Admin will also provide the following duties for the Ministries Pastor:
  • Calendar management
  • Schedule meetings and room set-up
  • Actively ask for, manage, and input receipts
  • Send emails and communications as needed
  • Research and development

  • The physical demands may include but are not limited to:  sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting up to 30 pounds as needed to fulfill job duties and requirements
