Position Summary
The Accounting and People Administrator provides administrative and operational support to the Accounting and Human Resource team. This position is responsible for assisting with accounts payable, accounts receivable, job costing, general ledger, reconciliations, payroll administration, employee records, compliance documentation, onboarding activities, benefits administration, reporting, general business operations and continuous improvement activities. The role serves as a key support function ensuring accurate records, timely processing, and efficient coordination across accounting and human resources activities.
Core Responsibilities
• Assist with accounts payable process, including vendor documentation, processing invoices and assigning GL codes, payments, credit card management and reconciliations.
• Assist with accounts receivable process, including creating and verifying customer invoices, tracking customer billing, completing bank deposits, payment applications and following up on accounts past due.
• Job costing analysis and labor efficiency reporting.
• Maintain organized and auditable financial records.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and internal efficiencies.
• Assist with payroll preparation and payroll-related recordkeeping.
• Assist with employee onboarding and new hire paperwork.
• Coordinate employee benefits enrollments, changes, and documentation.
• Assist with recruiting administration, interview scheduling, and applicant tracking.
• Maintain HR forms, policies, and employee communications.
• Assist with workers' comp, leave administration, and unemployment documentation.
• Provide general administrative support to leadership as assigned.
• Support the Controller, Accounting Specialist, and People and Performance Lead with reporting and special projects.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of administrative, accounting, payroll, HR or office support experience preferred.
• Experience with payroll systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
