ROLE SUMMARY

The Intersect Group is seeking a Windows Systems Administrator I to join a growing Infrastructure Services team. This role is ideal for an early career systems professional who is passionate about enterprise technology, automation, cloud platforms, and infrastructure support.

In this position, you will help administer and maintain Windows based systems, support virtualization and endpoint management platforms, and assist with enterprise technology initiatives across Windows and Apple environments. You will collaborate with senior engineers and infrastructure teams to ensure technology systems remain secure, reliable, and optimized for business operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

โ€ข Install, configure, maintain, and support Windows Server and Windows desktop operating systems

โ€ข Assist with administration of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related infrastructure services

โ€ข Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate routine administrative and operational tasks

โ€ข Support Apple macOS device deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management

โ€ข Deploy and maintain enterprise applications using endpoint management platforms such as SCCM, Intune, or JAMF

โ€ข Assist with VMware administration, including virtual machine deployment, monitoring, and maintenance activities

โ€ข Monitor enterprise systems, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and support scheduled maintenance activities

โ€ข Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives

KEY REQUIREMENTS

โ€ข Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

โ€ข 1 to 3 years of experience in Windows Systems Administration or a related IT infrastructure role

โ€ข Experience supporting Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022 environments

โ€ข Experience administering Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems

โ€ข Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and fundamental networking concepts

โ€ข Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation technologies

โ€ข Familiarity with VMware virtualization platforms including vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, and virtual machine administration

โ€ข Experience supporting endpoint management and software deployment solutions such as SCCM, Intune, or JAMF

โ€ข Understanding of information security principles, patch management, and system hardening best practices

โ€ข Strong analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and problem solving skills

โ€ข Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer focused approach

โ€ข Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment
