Accounting Assistant Manger
Job Summary: This position is responsible for the accuracy and timely execution of month end closing, monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, monthly financial statement reporting and the chart of accounts. Responsible for the preparation and analysis of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
Essential Functions
* Responsible for month end closing, execution, accuracy and timing: including preparation of journal entries, closing of all accounting modules, planning and directing month end closing activities, ensuring all journal entries are completed on time and accurately.
* Responsible for all balance sheet account reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate completion on a monthly basis with minimal variances (goal is zero variance). Reconciles some general ledger accounts including but not limited to accounts receivable, inventory, fixed assets and all inter companies.
* Responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.
* Assist Accounting Management with annual and semi-annual audits including the major role in preparing PBC audit schedules.
* Performs other duties as assigned

* Interacts with co-workers, customers, outside vendors and government officials.
* Maintains a clean working environment.
* Continuously seeks to improve processes and procedures.
* Promotes a safe working environment for all associates.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent is required.
Experience: Two to four years’ experience as a Staff Accountant in a manufacturing and fast paced environment. Continuing education to keep current with changes in generally accepted accounting principles is encouraged.
Skills: Strong accounting knowledge and skills: strong analytical and problem-solving skills; highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word; manufacturing accounting software; highly organized and efficient; very flexible, team orientation.
Working Conditions: The position requires the ability to work in a climate-controlled office, walk on concrete floors, lift up to 20 pounds, perform repetitive keystrokes on a continual basis and occasionally bend, kneel, twist and reach.
