Job description

Asset Protection and Loss Prevention Lead
In short:
The Asset Protection & Loss Prevention Lead role will report to the Head of Health, Safety and Security on the Global Real Estate Development team and supporting the Global Retail team. This position is responsible for building and scaling a global Asset Protection and Loss Prevention program across global retail.
You will move the organization from reactive store-level practices to standardized, data-driven and scalable protection frameworks, covering theft, fraud, and operational losses.
You will work cross-functionally with Retail Operations, Technology, Finance, Legal, IP and external partners to implement solutions that protect the business while preserving our premium customer experience.
Your Mission:
1. AP/LP Program Development
  • Build and implement a global AP/LP framework across all retail locations
  • Standardize processes across:
    • incident reporting
    • investigations
    • store security controls
  • Drive consistency across regions ("reduce variation, shift the mean")
2. Loss Prevention & Data Analytics
  • Develop data-driven strategies to reduce shrink and fraud
  • Leverage:
    • POS data
    • incident reports (e.g., SafetyCulture / Jira)
    • inventory discrepancies
  • Build dashboards and reporting to identify:
    • high-risk stores
    • repeat offenders
    • fraud patterns

3. Store Security Standards
  • Define scalable store protection standards including:
    • CCTV strategy (not just placement)
    • EAS / RFID usage models
    • product protection principles (premium vs secure balance)
    • cash handling controls
  • Partner with Real Estate & Retail Design on secure-by-design store concepts
4. Investigations
  • Lead complex investigations into:
    • organized retail crime (ORC)
    • internal theft and collusion
    • fraud schemes (gift cards, returns, payment abuse)
  • Establish structured case management and evidence handling
  • Build relationships with law enforcement and external intelligence networks
5. Incident Management Integration
  • Own the retail security component of incident reporting frameworks
  • Ensure all theft/security incidents are:
    • consistently reported
    • properly categorized
    • followed up
  • Translate incident trends into preventative actions and SOPs
6. Training & Awareness
  • Develop scalable training programs for store teams:
    • theft prevention
    • fraud awareness (gift cards, scams)
    • suspicious behavior recognition
  • Deliver simple, repeatable playbooks for store teams
7. External Partnerships & Technology
  • Own AP/LP vendor ecosystem:
    • guarding (where applicable)
    • CCTV analytics
    • EAS/RFID vendors
  • Evaluate and implement scalable technology solutions
  • Support integration with:
    • incident management platforms
    • potential GSOC / monitoring capabilities
Your Story:
10+ years of experience in Retail Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, Retail Security, or related fields
Experience working in multi-store, international, or fast-growing retail environments
Knowledge of shrink reduction, theft prevention, fraud trends, and organized retail crime (ORC)
Experience with retail security systems and controls including CCTV, EAS/RFID, and incident reporting platforms
Strong investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify trends and operational risks
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working across multicultural teams and cross-functional stakeholders including Retail, HR, Legal, Finance, and Technology
Knowledge of Health and Safety is nice to have not mandatory

Your Team:
The Health, Safety & Security (HSS) team supports safe, secure, and resilient operations across retail, workplace, and corporate environments globally. We partner closely with Retail, Workplace, Real Estate, Technology, Legal, and People teams to build practical and scalable programs that protect our people, products, and brand while supporting a premium employee and customer experience.
Typical cash compensation range for this position inclusive of base + bonus: $165,000 - $185,000.
Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including experience, industry knowledge, qualifications, skill set, and location. Certain roles may be eligible for equity compensation in addition to cash compensation.
