Area Loss Prevention Specialist

We are currently searching for an Area Loss Prevention Specialist to join our Loss Control team in Encino. The Area Loss Prevention Specialist works under the direction of the Loss Prevention Director. You will help protect company assets through the implementation of safety measures, inventory recovery programs, and aid in the reduction of internal and external theft. As a Loss Prevention Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in training store associates, enhancing physical security, and supporting our core business objectives. You
will work closely with assigned Operation Supervisor's and Store Director's in the implementation and oversight of loss prevention initiatives and will maintain a high degree of integrity, honesty, and professionalism in carrying out responsibilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Investigate known or suspected internal theft, external theft, or vendor fraud
  • Manage all phases of an investigation to completion; being proficient using non-confrontational techniques
  • Coordinate with risk management, human resources, or other departments to assist in company programs, investigations, or employee training
  • Monitor surveillance equipment for investigative purposes
  • Collaborate with law enforcement agencies to report or investigate crimes
  • Conduct Loss Prevention/Safety audits in stores to identify problem areas and communicate results within departments and manage audit results to resolution
  • Conduct training of store employees in areas of physical security, shrink & safety awareness
  • Other related duties and assignments as required
Desired skills and experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
  • Wicklander Zulawski Certification required
  • Completion of Retail Management Certification Program a plus
  • 3 years of Loss Prevention experience with multi store experience preferred
  • Interview and interrogation training and practical skills training required
  • Must possess a valid drivers license and insurance coverage
  • Highly proficient MS Office computer skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and email applications
  • Flexible availability - including nights, weekends and holidays
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,139 - $68,516
