Job description

Castleton Commodities International is seeking an Asset Operations & Management professional to join its Principal Investments organization in Houston, TX. This role is responsible for the oversight, development, and optimization of assets within CCI's growing global portfolio. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in asset operations within the energy sector, including power generation, renewables, midstream, or upstream operations.
This position offers a unique opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial, small-team environment while applying both financial and operational expertise across all facets of the energy sector. The role provides direct exposure to senior leadership and significant potential for career progression.
Responsibilities:
  • Involved in day-to-day Operations, Environmental Compliance, Health & Safety, P&L, and planning activities associated with CCI assets
  • Serve as the primary liaison between CCI assets and key business functions, including Optimization/EMA, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Perform financial analysis on existing CCI asset businesses (P/L, KPI's, benchmarking, budgeting, business/operating analytics reporting), as well as businesses being considered for investment.
  • Analysis will include financial modeling and power point presentation for CCI senior executives.
  • Lead assessments of strategic, operational, and financial risks and opportunities for existing businesses, and conduct technical due diligence on new investment opportunities.
  • Support planning and front-end development of brownfield/greenfield opportunities.
  • Identify, onboard, and manage consultants and contractors as necessary.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related or related field of study. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years' of applicable energy sector experience.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and PowerPoint required, including ability to navigate and work with large data sets / models.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills required; must be comfortable presenting in front of groups, including senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% to plant locations is required.
  • Combined experience in both finance/operations analysis and hands-on asset management is preferred.
  • Prior experience working with diverse teams, including both professional and field operations staff is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic and high-intensity environment including open-floor plan if applicable to the position, with timely responsiveness and the ability to work beyond normal business hours when required.
