About the Opportunity
A growing and fast-paced Houston-based organization is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Asset Operations Manager to lead warehouse operations, inventory control, equipment management, and asset accountability. Reporting directly to CEO this highly visible role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact by improving processes, implementing systems, and driving operational excellence.
This position is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong warehouse management experience who thrives in an environment where organization, efficiency, and continuous improvement are valued.
Position Summary
The Warehouse & Asset Operations Manager will oversee the movement, tracking, storage, and management of company inventory, tools, equipment, and assets valued at approximately $1M. This individual will be responsible for creating structure, maintaining accountability, and ensuring resources are available to support field operations.
The primary focus of this role is warehouse leadership, inventory control, asset management, and process improvement. While fleet oversight may be included, fleet management experience is not required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage day-to-day warehouse operations.
  • Oversee inventory, tools, equipment, materials, and company assets.
  • Manage shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution activities.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of assets moving in and out of the warehouse.
  • Implement and maintain inventory and asset management systems.
  • Develop warehouse procedures and improve operational processes.
  • Conduct inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy and asset accountability.
  • Supervise and develop a team of three employees.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities and vendor relationships.
  • Prepare operational reports and track key performance metrics.
  • Partner with field operations and leadership to ensure equipment and materials are available when needed.
Qualifications
Required
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, distribution, asset management, or related operational leadership roles.
  • Experience managing inventory, equipment, and assets in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong background in shipping, receiving, and warehouse organization.
  • Proven ability to improve processes and create operational efficiencies.
  • Experience leading and developing employees.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable learning and implementing new technology, inventory systems, or asset-tracking tools.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Preferred
  • Experience implementing inventory management, warehouse management, or asset-tracking systems.
  • Experience in construction, industrial, service, manufacturing, or field operations environments.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish.
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Fleet management experience is a plus, but not required.
