About the Position

The Trailer Operations Manager is responsible for optimizing trailer utilization in the ITS network at the highest level of efficiency. This role specifically supports teams within our Brokerage division and is dedicated to optimizing our asset operations, utilization, and allocations to support our customers' demands. This role reports into the Asset Optimization Division.

  • Manage strategic trailer repositioning efforts to meet trailer pool requirements, reduce idle times, minimize costs, and maintain proper documentation
  • Facilitate proactive yard and equipment inspections to prevent downtime in all assets.
  • Assist the team with Maintenance requests and collaborate with the Asset Maintenance team to complete repair needs as quickly as possible.
  • Ensure all company trailer KPI's meet performance expectations
  • Manage landmarks and locations specific to the asset network for the customer.
  • Communicate proactively with the customer to ensure requirements are met.
  • Ensure all trailer loads have correct trailer number for documentation and data integrity purposes
  • Collaborate with other teams and/or customers to ensure all trailer operation standards are executed to company expectations
  • Perform daily audits to ensure all trailer moves are documented and accounted for


About the requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics management, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in logistics, fleet, transportation, or supply chain preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and internally motivated to exceed all commitments and requirements of the position.
  • Energetic, positive attitude.
  • Problem solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Must be flexible on schedule, including weekends, afterhours, and holidays

Compensation

$23.32 per hour + commission
