We are a growing multi-disciplined firm of professional engineers, architects, environmental scientists, geologists, planners and landscape architects headquartered in Syracuse, NY, with branch offices throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Connecticut and Maine. B&L specializes in transportation engineering, water supply, wastewater management, solid waste management, land planning and site design, environmental services, facilities engineering, land surveying and asset management. B&L is proud to have a family-oriented culture, focused on supporting innovation and staff growth to provide inspired solutions to meet our client's needs.
We are currently seeking an Asset Management Specialist with 3-5 years of IBM Maximo experience to support the delivery of asset management solutions. This role focuses on business process documentation and diagramming, functional configuration support, user acceptance testing (UAT), data validation, and end-user training.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate workshops to understand business needs and document and diagram current and future-state business processes.
  • Translate business processes into clear functional specifications and supported Maximo configurations.
  • Support and validate Maximo configurations, including light functional setup (for example: Application Designer, Domains, non-complex configurations), working with technical resources for advanced development.
  • Plan and lead UAT activities, including drafting test scripts, coordinating execution, managing defects, and documenting results and sign-offs.
  • Review, format, and validate data for import and export activities to ensure completeness, consistency, and adherence to data standards.
  • Develop user-facing documentation, including SOPs, job aids, training materials, and release notes.
  • Deliver end-user training, including instructor-led sessions; comfortable with public speaking and group facilitation.
  • Support post-go-live stabilization and recommend ongoing functional improvements.
  • Ensure solutions and documentation comply with B&L standards and IBM Maximo best practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.
  • 3-5 years of IBM Maximo experience in a functional or consulting role.
  • Proven experience documenting and diagramming business processes and translating them into system solutions.
  • Experience leading or supporting UAT, including test script development and coordinating execution.
  • Experience validating and reviewing data for system use or migration.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable presenting to groups.
  • Professional, client-facing demeanor with excellent organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • IBM Maximo Certification(s).
  • Experience supporting Maximo upgrades and/or Maximo Application Suite (MAS) deployments.
  • Familiarity with asset management practices in utilities, transportation, or facilities.

Estimated Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,000/year.
Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
