The Center for Youth: Started BY YOUTH FOR YOUTH. We partner with youth to realize their full potential, by creating opportunities, removing barriers and promoting social justice.Overview: This position will assist in the facilitation, the implementation, development, and management of community schools' activities, events, programs and services that lead to healthy and successful children, strong families and a thriving community.Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. 12-months Monday- Friday school hours. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.Location: Greece Central School DistrictResponsibilities:Partners with school to promote the community school's strategyEstablishes and maintain linkages with local organizations and businesses to develop expanded learning opportunities, health and social services to support the community school's strategyProvides day-to-day support of community school partnershipsPlans and directs efforts to involve students and engage families in the community school strategyAssists with designing and managing volunteer systems within the schoolAssists in data collection and evaluationParticipates in capacity-building activities including initiative-wide and site-based trainings, network meetings and study visitsWorks collaboratively with parent liaisons to increase family engagement at the school siteWorks collaboratively with the Department of Community and Family Engagement and site-based leadership team to assure successful implementation of the community schools' strategyPerform school-specific additional duties that respond to the emerging needs of the assigned school and that are agreed upon by the Leadership Team and CFY Required Qualifications: Associates Degree in social services, education, youth development OR Equivalent combination of experience and education / Bachelor's degree preferred2 years' experience working with youth/ student/ or familiesSkills: Excellent CommunicationKnowledge of Greece SchoolsKnowledge of positive youth development, asset development, risk reduction and protective factorsPay Rate: $25 per hour The Center for Youth Provides Equal Employment Opportunities
