Job Title- Service Technician

Project Location – Greenville South Carolina onsite

Duration- Fulltime

Visa- USC

 Job Description-: Client is the fusion of gear engineering excellence. Our fully equipped Industrial Gear service center in Greer, SC provides expert gearbox services across the USA. The facility includes crane capacity up to 60 tons, an integrated machine shop, engineering center and a spare parts department. Climate controlled assembly clean rooms ensure gearboxes are particle-free when returned to the field.

Job Summary: Successful candidate will be responsible for disassembly of gear units, determine all damages and file a report describing results of inspection of gear box. Capable of assembling gear boxes with replacement parts and components that have been cleaned for re-assembly. Assist when needed to prep parts for assembly.

 Essential Functions

  • Refurbish gearboxes according to drawings and ensuring that DB Santasalo achieves its corporate objectives for service
  • Assist with disassembly and inspection with or without drawings
  • Determine all damage to gear box and components needed to be replaced
  • Obtain all information possible to use in report
  • Ability to communicate in a professional manner to customers
  • Coordinate tools and equipment maintenance with Workshop Manager
  • Assist with general shop cleaning
  • Assist with testing of gear units
  • Maintain a professional attitude in-house and off site
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • 3-4 years’ experience in gear box repair
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools
  • Organized
  • Self-starter
