Technical Launch Support:ย 

  • Represent and advance the technical capabilities of theย assemblyย shopย andย coordinationย during the launch phase.ย 
  • Activelyย participateย in committees and meetings to contribute insights and ensure alignment with launchย objectivesย towardsย assemblyย shop readiness.ย 

Information Management:ย 

  • Collect, summarize, andย disseminateย related information to relevant teams for effective decision-making.ย 
  • Ensure comprehensive documentation of technical data related toย assemblyย shopย in-coordination withย assemblyย shop team.ย 

Timeline and Budget Monitoring:ย 

  • Monitorย launch activitiesย deadlines,ย tools andย equipment readiness,ย build timeline,ย build issues,ย production lineย readinessย and budget forย assemblyย shop,ย initiatingย escalation in case of overruns or issues.ย ย 
  • Collaborate with finance teams to assess financial implications and ensure cost-effective launch strategies.ย 

Collaboration:ย 

  • Coordinate measures with project-specific specialist departments and the vehicle manufacturing site to ensure a seamless launch.ย 
  • Follow up on the implementation of measures, assessing their effectiveness, and ensuring compliance with launch goals.ย 

Knowledge Representation:ย 

  • Know, represent, and implement the interests of vehicle manufacturing in the technical departments, with a specific focus onย assemblyย shop.ย 
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer sessions to ensure a comprehensive understanding ofย assemblyย shopย processes.ย 

Financial Expertise:ย 

  • Understand financial key figures in the project, their influencing factors, andย monitorย compliance, particularly related toย assemblyย shop.ย 
  • Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and presentations for review and decision-making.ย 

Deadline Management:ย 

  • Recognize missed deadlines, demand action via escalation, and define corrective measures in collaboration withย assemblyย shop teamย and other relevant areas.ย 
  • Develop andย maintainย a detailed timeline forย assemblyย shop, ensuring alignment with overall project schedules.ย 

Start-Up Organization:ย 

  • Establish a start-up organization forย assemblyย shop, selecting key personnel and managing early-phase activities.ย 
  • Implement effective communication channels within the start-up organization for streamlined coordination.ย 

Technical Expertise:ย 

  • Familiarity with production processes fromย assemblyย shop toย finish, understanding the intended use of vehicles, and ensuringย timelyย delivery of work content.ย 
  • Knowledge of milestones in the product development process, adherence to product and process standards, and suggestions forย optimizingย the paving process.ย 
  • Understanding of qualification processes in pre-series production, knowledge of Q-targets, andย assemblyย process related key indicators.ย 

Industry and Company Knowledge:ย 

  • Understanding ofย the production process, factory control process, and knowledge transfer to employees and colleagues.ย 
  • Knowledge of functional divisions within the industry, relations with relevant departments, and integration of processes.ย 
  • Understanding ofย financing types, cost reference values, and evaluation of project information for monthly/annual presentations.ย 

IT-Knowledge:ย 

  • Proficientย Project management and change management software, including vehicle-specific changes and experience with analysis and reporting software within the companies.ย 
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement technology-driven solutions for enhanced launch managementย inย assemblyย shop.ย 
  • Proficient knowledge applying the Microsoft Office products [PowerPoint, Excel, Word].ย 

Knowledge Transfer:ย 

  • Application and adaptation of relevant methods, actively contributing new knowledge and experience, and fostering knowledge transfer within the team.ย

Location & Travel Expectations:

  • This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location in Blythewood, South Carolina
  • This role requires 4-5 days per week in the office, with regular in-person meetings and events.ย 
  • Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyย from time to time.

  • Experience:ย :ย Atย least 4 years ofย Experienceย ofย logisticsย area in BEV/ICE OEM, particularly in the automotive industry. Understanding the fundamentals of carย assemblyย production processes is essential.ย 
  • Technical Understanding:ย Strong technical understanding ofย assemblyย production processes, particularly in relation to steeringย and coordinationย systems. Knowledge of how these processesย impactย the functionality and quality of vehicles is crucial.ย 
  • Analytical Skills:ย Proficient in analyzing production data,ย identifyingย trends, and making data-driven decisions toย optimizeย pre-series production planningย inย assemblyย shop.ย 
  • Problem-Solving Abilities:ย Adept atย identifyingย challenges and implementing effective solutions to ensure seamless pre-series vehicle productionย inย assemblyย shop.ย 
  • Communication Skills:ย Excellent communication skills toย facilitateย collaboration with internal departments, suppliers, and other stakeholders, ensuring a smooth flow of information.ย 
  • Process Optimization:ย Previousย experience inย optimizingย assemblyย production processes, driving efficiency, and implementing best practices.ย

Pay Transparency

This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate's skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.

Initial Base Salary Range: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00
