Under direct supervision the Assembly Operator performs routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes. Must be available to work 3rd shift. Shifts are determined by business needs. Training for this position will take place on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.

What You Will Do

  • Technical Tasks:

    • Perform machine and/or manual assembly.

    • Scope, soldering, and computer work required.

    • Perform unique assembly processes.

    • Accurately read and follow procedures, routing and other work instructions.

    • Take ownership of accuracy of processes.

  • Customer Focus:

    • Meet internal and external customer deadlines as determined by team.

    • Build parts that meet drawing specifications.

    • Comply with applicable elements of quality systems (ACE).

  • Special Projects:

    • Demonstrate initiative to keep processes moving and on schedule.

    • Understand and use computer tools such as SAP and accurately follow work instructions.

    • Achieve special process certification where applicable.

    • Demonstrate a proactive role in problem solving.

    • Pursue certifications in continuous improvement (ACE).

  • Communication:

    • Interface with other functional groups to update, inform, acknowledge or resolve problems related to production issues.

    • Effectively interact with others.

  • Participation:

    • Participate in cost reduction plans.

    • Participate in waste minimization efforts.

    • Participate in audits.

  • May be required to be on feet for long periods of time.

  • Safety glasses and other safety equipment are required depending on task.

  • Must be able to effectively work in an environment requiring repetitive job responsibilities.

  • Ability to focus on safety and quality is extremely important.

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.

  • This position is on 3rd Shift. Must be willing and able to work 3rd shift.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Requires HS Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or equivalent, 2 years of relevant experience is required.

  • Must be willing and able to work 2nd shift.

  • Training is typically on 1st shift. Candidates must be willing and able to train on 1st shift for up to 4 weeks.
