Job description

We are growing and an adding an Estimator/Project Manager to our team! The Estimator/Project Manager is responsible for collecting and analyzing project information to accurately estimate costs for asphalt and concrete projects and competitive bids. This role establishes clear project objectives, oversees financial and operational performance, and ensures full compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will effectively manage budgets, analyze key performance reports, and optimize field operations to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Estimates the cost of new asphalt and concrete and any repairs to asphalt and concrete roadways and driveways.
  • Analyzes the depth and product requirements of customer plans or requests.
  • Gathers contact and contract data for billing and contract purposes.
  • Provides detailed reports that will include breakdowns of project costs.
  • Meets with customers upon receiving leads within a timely manner (no more than 24 hours).
  • Required to communicate with customers in a professional manor.
  • Participate in required industry training and development.
  • Assist with corporate marketing initiatives.
  • Identify and pursue potential sales leads and opportunities.
  • Manage projects from the bidding phase through to project closeout and billing.
  • Prepare and submit bids.
  • Generate quotes for various projects, including those for Property Management Companies, Homeowner Associations, and Commercial/Retail Managers.
  • Communicate with customers and subcontractors to schedule work and manage change orders.

Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

  • Prior experience in road construction, paving, or concrete is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

  • An Associate's Degree or higher is a plus.
