Summary

Manatt's Quality Control Technicians test and inspects asphalt products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products

Essential Responsibilities

  • Interprets formulas and confers with management to determine quality.
  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process, and tests products for variety of qualities such as dimensions and performance.
  • Records test data, applying statistical quality control.
  • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations.
  • Sets up and performs destructive and nondestructive tests on materials, to measure performance, life, or materia.
  • Must be capable of working in a team setting inspired by Manatt's core values.
  • Regularly communicates with proper staff about plant and/or equipment repair and maintenance needs.
  • Relates to the public and customers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner, and appropriately responds to their complaints.
  • Follows procedures and protocols as set forth in job orientation and trainings.
  • Expected to operate in safe manner and abide with traffic laws, rules, and regulations of State/Federal Departments of Transportation (DOT), laws governing hazardous materials and placarding, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules and regulations and company rules/safety directives.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license
  • DOT Certifications in the following - AGG Tech, HMA 1ACI certification, Field Tech Level I preferred.  Willing to train the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of Asphalt Plants preferred.
  • Good driving record, CDL preferred.
