Job description

Industrial Electrician

We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical, automation, and control systems at our concrete batch plants and aggregate production facilities, including rock and sand quarries, wash plants, conveyors, and crushers. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with 480V industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, and industrial automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems from 24V control circuits through 480V power distribution.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical issues on crushers, conveyors, screens, wash plants, pumps, batch plants, and mobile equipment support systems.
  • Install and maintain motors, motor starters, VFDs, sensors, relays, instrumentation, and control panels.
  • Troubleshoot and modify PLC-controlled systems and automation equipment.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Perform conduit installation, wire pulling, panel wiring, and electrical construction projects.
  • Assist with process improvements and equipment reliability initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate equipment issues to management.
  • Follow all company safety policies, MSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical experience; aggregate, mining, asphalt, concrete, or manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with 480V three-phase electrical systems.
  • Experience with industrial controls, PLCs, motor controls, and VFDs is required.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and control drawings.
  • Proficient with electrical testing equipment and hand tools.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and industrial environments.
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, lift up to 50 pounds, and work around moving equipment.
  • Ability to work near energized 480V electrical systems while following all safety procedures.
  • Ability to work overtime and respond to after-hours maintenance needs as required.

 MSHA training and aggregate industry experience are a plus.
