Walters Wholesale Electric, Inc, an affiliate of USESI, is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Bid Coordinator to join our team. This position will be located in our Brea, CA location.
Job Type: Full-Time
Hours: 8 am to 5 pm
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with coordinating switchgear bid opportunities from initial request through bid submission.
  • Review bid requests and project documentation to ensure information is complete and organized.
  • Request and track information from manufacturers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Prepare bid packages and supporting documentation for customer submissions.
  • Monitor bid deadlines and assist in ensuring projects are completed on time.
  • Maintain project records, bid logs, and customer communications within company systems.
  • Support sales representatives and project teams with administrative and coordination activities.
  • Communicate with customers, manufacturers, and internal team members regarding project status and documentation needs.
  • Assist with project turnover activities after receipt of customer purchase orders.
  • Learn to read and interpret project specifications, drawings, and one-line diagrams.
  • Participate in training related to switchgear products, electrical distribution, and project coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree, coursework in business, construction management, engineering technology, or a related field is a plus.
  • Prior administrative, customer service, project coordination, inside sales support, or construction-related experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to learn technical products and processes.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
    • Experience in electrical distribution or construction is a plus but not required.
