Job description

Introduction
As a Field Applications Engineer on the ASML Austin/Taylor team, you'll support customers with the launch of a leading-edge factory. You'll help introduce and transfer ASML's EUV, DUV, and applications product portfolio to support technology qualification, factory startup, and ramp.
In this customer-facing role, you'll own defined internal and external projects, address escalated customer issues, and translate on-product challenges into actionable lithography or metrology problem statements. You'll collaborate with regional and global teams to resolve issues, apply ASML's metrology and scanner products, and maximize their value for the customer.
You'll also help define and drive customer requirements for current and future products, proactively identify new application opportunities, and work closely with sales and product teams. Strong data analysis and structured problem-solving skills are essential, as you'll present technical findings and results to both ASML and customers.
Roles and responsibilities
  • Participate and/or lead projects which are aimed at supporting our customer transition to a new technology node or ramp up a specific technology node.
  • Own workstreams within a larger project and able to develop and drive autonomously a project plan and chase a successful execution with regular updates to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
  • Translate a customer on-product issue into a potential lithography or metrology related problem statement, resolve these issues to help them maximize the performance and use of ASML products.
  • Participate in pro-actively identifying ASML applications product opportunities for our customer.
  • Conduct data analysis to ensure that the correct conclusions are drawn from customers acquired experimental data and results reported to ASML and customer.
  • Meet with internal and external customers to maintain two-way level of commitment to keep all involved and affected parties informed of progress.
  • Prepare technical presentations for customer meetings, provide new user support, and assists sales.
  • Learn and exercise the ASML metrology product portfolio and maximize the application of ASML products & options to the benefit of the customer.

Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • Minimum 3 years work experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum 2 years experience within the semiconductor or manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum 1 year experience with utilizing MATLAB, Python, JMP, or similar software.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in data analysis and analyzing technical data to summarize and present findings
