Job Description
How You'll Make an Impact
To be successful in the Senior Consultant role, you must bring strong interpersonal, business, and technical skills that enable you to engage effectively at all levels of an organization. Our consultants excel in a consultative approach, with a holistic understanding of both business and IT operations and a commitment to delivering meaningful outcomes for our clients.
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
  • Deliver enterprise networking solutions with a focus on:
    • Aruba/HPE campus networking (Route/Switch/Wireless)
    • User-Based Tunneling (UBT) architectures (1.0 and 2.0)
    • Identity-driven access and segmentation
  • Design and implement:
    • Wired and wireless network solutions using Aruba technologies
    • Secure access frameworks leveraging Aruba ClearPass and role-based policies
  • Execute hands-on deployment of Aruba UBT, including:
    • Policy design and enforcement
    • Integration with ClearPass (authentication, profiling, enforcement)
    • Tunnel configuration across wired and wireless environments
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues across:
    • L2/L3 routing and switching
    • Wireless connectivity and client onboarding
    • Authentication and policy enforcement flows
  • Develop and deliver technology solutions for customers, with an exceptionally high focus on quality.
  • Work closely with other Burwood Group project team members.
  • Build strong and continuous relationships with our clients, becoming their go-to advisor.
  • Provide training and knowledge transfer to clients to ensure they are able to successfully maintain solutions post-implementation.
  • Act as a mentor and provide technical guidance to peers.
  • Stay current on market trends, technologies and best practices

Qualifications
Your Core Skills & Certifications
  • You have 7-10 years of technical delivery experience and enterprise architecture preferably with a fortune 1000 company or consulting organization.
  • You have a strong understanding of network architectures, solutions, processes, frameworks, and components.
  • You love having analytical and consultative conversations, and you are adept at identifying and solving problems.
  • You have a passion for technology and keep informed of market trends, solution insights and vendor roadmaps
  • You have experience working with project managers to establish a project plan and managing a team of technical resources to complete project activities in a customer environment.
  • You are able to engage at the CxO and Director/Manager levels as well as manage tasks on engagements of limited size and duration.
  • You have a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs.
  • You are able to quickly adapt to a fast-paced sales and quality-based delivery model, work in a team-based environment and self-manage your time.
  • You have excellent communications skills whether that be in-person, over-the-phone or e-mail.
  • You don't mind responsibility, you're accountable for your work and dedicated to a job well done.
  • You have a passion for technology and always want to learn something new.
  • You're willing to travel for limited engagement requirements approximately 25% of the time.

The Tech Stuff
  • Expert-level Aruba/HPE networking experience, including:
    • Aruba CX switching and campus LAN architectures
    • Aruba wireless (Mobility Controllers, Aruba Central)
  • User-Based Tunneling (UBT) - REQUIRED
    • Hands-on experience with UBT 1.0 and 2.0 deployments
    • Strong understanding of role-based tunneling and segmentation
  • Strong expertise in:
    • L2/L3 networking (VLANs, routing protocols, segmentation)
    • Enterprise wireless design and implementation
  • Experience with:
    • Aruba ClearPass (Policy Manager, profiling, enforcement)
    • 802.1X, NAC, and identity-based access controls
  • Proven hands-on experience with enterprise campus networking platforms

Candidates with the following skills are a plus:
  • HPE/Aruba Certified Expert Certification or equivalent
  • Wireless products from Cisco
  • Any of CCIE R/S, ACMX, or ACDX
  • CCNP Security certification
  • Palo Alto PCSNE certification

Compensation packages at Burwood Group are based on various factors unique to each candidate including work location, skillset, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
The estimated salary range for this role is ($160,000-$175,000). This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. Sales roles have an additional opportunity to earn substantial variable compensation tied to quota achievement.
