Job description

Summary:
The High School Music Program Assistant serves as the central hub for the performing arts department, providing high-level logistical, financial, and clerical support.ย  This role ensures the seamless execution of performances, manages departmental communications, and fosters positive relationships with students, donors, and the community

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Aid and support to the Performing Arts staff members and events.
  • Maintain school activity calendar working directly with the Auditorium Manager and teaching staff.
  • Maintain Performing Arts office supplies and equipment.
  • Perform secretarial and clerical duties such as word processing and data entry using the Google Suite.
  • Answer telephone and email and resolve routine and complex inquiries.
  • Manage the Ludus electronic ticketing system and coordinate the design, production, and distribution of event programs.ย  Must be available to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Drive department visibility through strategic publicity efforts; maintain and update the department's presence on social media platforms and internal announcements.
  • Collaborate with building accounting to process purchase orders and maintain high-volume deposits.
  • Maintain records of finances for the Performing Arts department with donor payments, trip fees, and other expenses.
  • Coordinate the procurement of department apparel; assist with student uniform fittings and vendor ordering using the ZPS purchasing system.
  • Assist with logistics for board-approved performance trips, including itinerary planning and individual student payment tracking.ย  Serve as a resource for families.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required; must meet NCLB highly qualified standards.
  • Computer and word processing expertise is required, as well as knowledge regarding general office machines and equipment.ย  Knowledge of Infinite Campus is preferred.
  • Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, staff, parents, and community.
  • High degree of integrity to maintain confidentiality of student information is necessary.
  • Lifting and moving materials, supplies, and equipment may be necessary.
  • Experience with electronic ticketing desired.
  • Experience with Vimeo and Rise Vision desired.
  • Must possess excellent grammar and writing skills.
  • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills to work with multiple requests from different individuals.
  • Website design and maintenance experience desired.

Schedule:

  • School year, up to 6.5 hours per day

Compensation:

  • Level II ($15.74 - $18.42)
