Job Title: 7-12 Humanities Coach
Description: This position will provide support for the implementation of our curriculum aligned to Next Generation English Language Arts Standards, the NYS Social Studies Framework, and the NYS World Language Standards while focusing on instructional best practices in the Humanities.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide instructional coaching
  • Provide consultation services across grades 7-12
  • Conducts workshops, demonstrations for teachers.
  • Assists teachers with the interpretation of test results and item analyses.
  • Provides leadership in implementing and evaluating curriculum, and in designing and implementing training.
  • Provides input into staff development programs and conference day planning.
  • Maintains communication with department leaders
  • Attends training as deemed appropriate by the administration.
  • Keeps current in the field by reviewing professional journals and trade books.
  • Assists teachers and administrators in compiling data
  • Maintains confidentiality with staff, student and data management matters
  • Performs related duties as required

Reports to: Director of Humanities and Professional Development
Evaluation: Teacher professional performance review.
Salary: Minimum starting salary $48,502 (negotiable based on experience), as per the Victor Teachers' Association agreement. The VTA contract can be found on the Victor Central School District website under the Human Resources tab.
