Opportunity

The mission of NSWG-2 Logistics Support Unit (LOGSUPPU) is to plan, coordinate, integrate, synchronize, and provide logistics support for the Commander, Naval Special Warfare Group Two and its subordinate units to directly support NSW operations and training in peace, crisis, and wartime, at home and forward deployed.


Overview

The Armory Work Center Maintenance Manager will assist the LOGSUPPU-2 Civilian Armorer in the day-to-day Armory operations.

Security Requirement:

  • Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS).
  • Conducts assessments and required repairs to all CWS to include depot-level repairs to applicable systems.
  • Assists in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations.
  • Manages the procurement, receipt and issue of all parts and generates repair parts usage reports to update the ELMS/DPAS database.
  • Manages initial request, turn-in, and issue documents (DD Form 1149) of required ancillary gear to support team personnel and SEALS. Receives and coordinates the inventory and inspection of post-deployment return of all weapons accessories (ancillary) gear and help to determine the serviceability of received ancillary equipment for re-issue.
  • Develops and manages department budget based on maintenance and procurement trends. Prepares and finalizes OPTAR requirements.
  • Travel as required CONUS and OCONUS for new equipment training, armory related conferences, and as assessment contact team member.
Requirements:
  • Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
  • Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening. This course and associated travel are financial responsibility of NSW
  • Minimum of three years' experience repairing small arms.
  • Must be able to travel CONUS/OCONUS. Civilian passport required.
  • Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs.
  • Possess a valid state driverโ€™s license.
  • Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
  • Be able to enter data into multiple databases accurately.
