Racquet Sports-Pro Shop Attendant- part time -8am-1pm weekdays or 7am-3pm weekends
Love racquet sports and enjoy working with people? Join our Racquet Sports team as a Pro Shop Attendant! Help our members with purchases, reservations, equipment, and day-to-day Pro Shop needs while providing friendly, personalized service. A great part-time opportunity with a consistent schedule!
Position Summary Responsible for Racquet Pro Shop, Court & Instruction Reservations, and Tennis & Pickleball Operations.
Essential Functions
  • Personally provide warm, friendly & enthusiastic service (with a smile) to members & guests.
  • Provide members & guests with accurate information on the Racquet sports program which includes tennis & pickleball leagues, instruction & events.
  • Assist members/guests with court, instruction or Racquet sports event reservations.
  • Use the Computer, IPAD and phone in a professional manner which includes returning calls promptly.
  • Taking clear, detailed & precise phone messages that include name, phone number, time of call & message.
  • Efficient with credit card machine and on-line reservation systems.
  • Registering & collecting the appropriate guest fees.
  • Supervise & monitor afternoon & early evening Racquet Sports building & grounds.
  • Assist in the selling and marketing Racquet Sports pro shop inventory.
  • Assist Operations Manager with specific assigned tasks.
  • Assist Director of Racquet Sports with any duties as needed.
  • Secure and lock tennis facility prior to leaving.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Knowledge, skills and abilities
  • Must have computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs, Internet, and basic database.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a country club.
  • Efficiently handle multiple calls to customers, members/subscribers, vendors and the general public.
  • Respond to member inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and coordinate and complete tasks with limited supervision.
  • Must be a detail-oriented individual and possess time management skills.
  • Must maintain high-performance standards.
  • Simple computational skills (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide, Percents)
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with all employees, management and members.

Education and experience
  • High School Diploma and/or equivalent required.
  • Required AED/CPR/First Aid certification (Will train)
  • Tennis, Pickleball or Fitness experience preferred.
  • Country Club experience preferred.
  • Must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Efficiently handle multiple calls to customers, members/subscribers, and the general public.
  • Respond to member inquiries in a courteous and friendly manner.
  • Computer experience required, including but not limited to Word, Outlook, Excel & Publisher
