Job description

Position Title: Armis Security Specialist
Location: Remote
Duration: TBD
Employment Type: Contract role on W-2 through Above and Beyond Talent Acquisition, Inc. (A&B Talent)
Work Arrangement: Remote
Payrate: $50.50 - $54.00

Who We Are Looking For / Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, network/security operations, or OT/IoT security.
  • Hands-on experience administering and operating Armis or a similar OT/IoT/medical device security platform.
  • Strong understanding of network fundamentals, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, and NAC concepts.
  • Experience with asset discovery, risk scoring, vulnerability identification, and anomaly detection.
  • Experience creating and implementing security procedures, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Performance Objectives / What You'll Be Doing:

  • Serve as the day-to-day Armis platform specialist supporting configuration, tuning, optimization, and ongoing operations.
  • Maintain and refine Armis policies, alerts, device classifications, and risk scoring models for laboratory-specific use cases.
  • Support integration of Armis with existing security and IT tools for data enrichment and visibility.
  • Maintain an accurate inventory of laboratory, OT, IoT, and scientific devices.
  • Identify vulnerable, unsupported, or misconfigured devices and network segments and document findings.
  • Assist in developing remediation and risk reduction plans in partnership with laboratory IT, instrument owners, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Develop, document, and maintain security policies, standards, procedures, and incident response runbooks.
  • Configure and manage alerts for anomalous behavior, policy violations, and potential security incidents.
  • Investigate and triage Armis alerts while correlating information from network logs and security tools.
  • Support incident response efforts involving laboratory, OT, and IoT devices, including containment and recovery recommendations.
  • Produce reports on asset inventory, vulnerabilities, risk posture, and incident trends for stakeholders.
  • Collaborate closely with R&D scientists, laboratory operations teams, and IT personnel to ensure security controls align with operational needs.
  • Support user awareness and training initiatives related to Armis processes and secure use of laboratory and OT devices.
