Job description

The Resource Sales Team Manager provides leadership and oversight to a team dedicated to serving churches, schools, and individuals through the promotion, sales, and support of Vacation Bible School (VBS) materials, Sunday School curricula, books, and resources. This role combines ministry-minded service with strategic sales leadership, ensuring that churches are equipped with the tools they need to disciple children, students, and adults effectively.
The manager will train, encourage, and supervise the Resource Sales Team while developing strategies to meet sales goals, cultivate relationships with partners, and uphold the mission and values of the ministry.
This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. This position provides opportunities for spiritual, personal, and professional development.
Responsibilities
  • Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
  • Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
  • Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
  • Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
  • Oversee and promote the spiritual, personal, and professional development of all team members being led.
  • Lead, train, mentor, and inspire the Resource Sales Team to achieve sales and ministry support goals. Promote a sales team mindset that serves our guests while benefiting the ministry.
  • Model Christlike leadership by fostering a culture of service, integrity, and collaboration. (SERVE)
  • Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews.
  • Take an active role in training sales team members on product and sales techniques.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to expand the reach of VBS, Sunday School curricula, books, and related ministry resources.
  • Establish and monitor sales targets, reporting progress to senior leadership.
  • Ensure the team provides exceptional service, including product knowledge, curriculum consultation, and problem resolution.
  • Oversee team scheduling, workload distribution, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely order processing, reporting, and customer follow-up.
  • Maintain knowledge of SAP systems and reporting.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills - ability to interact with customers and coworkers across all departments and levels.
  • Knowledge of Answers in Genesis, Creation Museum and Ark Encounter mission, philosophy, values, and objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional leadership skills that motivate team members.

Education & Experience
  • Two or more years of successful sales experience required
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience required
  • Ability to travel to assigned presentations and events
