Job description

Overview

This Human Resources Representative is a hybrid role supporting both ARH Hazard Regional Medical Center and ARH Mary Breckinridge Hospital. This position supports recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits, workers' compensation, and HR policy administration while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and applicable employment laws.

Special InstructionsThis role will be a hybrid position between Hazard ARH Regional Medical Center and Mary Breckinridge ARH HospitalResponsibilities

Responds to inquiries on personnel and payroll matters at the local level, and acts as a liaison to the corporate human resource department on questions requiring policy interpretation.

Coordinates orientation of new employees and arranges for completion of all necessary employment forms.

May serve as a member of the HR Council.

Monitors and facilitates the implementation of ARH benefit programs at the local level.

Assures current Corporate policy manual and job descriptions are maintained.

Processes and maintains personnel documents in accordance with corporate guidelines.

Monitors salary increases for compliance with the ARH Salary Administration Guide and collective bargaining agreements.

Assists the Administrator in determining logical staffing patterns with the aide of the printed position control.

Assures all employee incident reports are filed in a timely manner with the workers compensation carrier and managed care provider.Posts jobs covered by a collective bargaining agreement as vacancies occur and coordinates job placement with department heads.

May assist in labor contract implementation and contacts appropriate corporate personnel for assistance in interpretation.

Administers Corporate absenteeism program on a quarterly basis.

May provide information on references, inquiries, and credit checks in accordance with ARH policy.

Responsible for coordinating service award programs.

Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications

Associate Degree in business administration with 5 years experience in human resources administration; or

High school graduate with college level courses in human resource administration, business administration, or related subjects with 10 years experience in the human resource administration.

Must be proficient in Windows, Excel demonstrating proficient typing skills of 70 wpm.

Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
