1st shift (United States of America)Please review the following job description:Responsible for the financial analysis, risk assessment and credit structure recommendation for Commercial Real Estate clients and prospects within the institutional segment. This includes prudent underwriting and effective credit and risk administration with particular emphasis on adherence to credit policy and procedure, financial analysis/modeling, risk evaluation, on-going portfolio maintenance activities, data integrity, and client support. Collaborate with deal team to maintain data integrity on existing portfolio and identify credit worthy projects within targeted markets.
Supplement credit analysis with research, and property level evaluation from a wide variety of internal and external sources to develop a risk assessment of client, competitor, property segment, market and industry risks and trends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
1. Responsible for preparation of the due diligence, structuring, and credit underwriting on new money, renewals and reviews, while making independent recommendations based on assigned components of the credit opportunity. Acts as author and creates initial view of risk based on experience and skills.
2. Work independently and in coordination with Portfolio Manager researching and qualifying prospects and underwriting new opportunities. Apply understanding of credit risk to evaluate and recommend new requests balancing risk /return for the Bank.
3. Complete performance and monitoring activity for assigned portfolio to include overall portfolio management, current CRE project performance vs. original expectations, required risk monitoring activity and applying an understanding of current industry and market trends.
4. Serve as a client and internal point of contact in managing assigned portfolio. (May include site visit and/or visit with client management team to discuss operations and assets).
5. Serve as source of real estate underwriting knowledge and expertise, which includes understanding of current industry and/or market trends.
6. Responsible for leading credit presentation preparation and discussions with Credit Officer and other final approvers.
7. Monitor assigned portfolio which may include national project secured, portfolio secured, and unsecured lending across all CRE asset classes to large sophisticated institutional clients, both public and private. May serve as portfolio manager based on experience.
8. Mentor and coach Portfolio Analyst.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including an attention to detail.
3. Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
5. Knowledge of credit principles applied to large institutional clients.
6. Ability to handle multiple priorities under time constraints.
7. Demonstrated success working in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. 4-5 Years of portfolio management and client relationship experience specifically with pension funds, life insurance companies, or private equity firms investing in real estate.
2. Intermediate knowledge of ARGUS software; high level Excel modeling and analysis tools, including expertise in use of 3rd party Real Estate Data Sources (CoStar, REIS, Axiometrics)
3. Familiarity with loan documentation, covenants, Corporate Accounting and financial statement reporting including analysis of financial statements
4. Completion of commercial associate program or equivalent experience; Master's degree in Accounting, Real Estate Finance, MBA or related field or an equivalent combination of educational and experience or other related advanced degree.
