Position Summary

As a part-time Security Officer you will assist the Security Supervisor with any security-related assignments. Security Officers will be responsible for protecting BOK Center and Arvest Convention Center and visitors, staff, and vendors on a 24-hour, 7-day-per-week basis. This position operates under the direct supervision and mentorship of the Security Supervisor.

This role will pay an hourly rate of $19.00

Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching.

This position will remain open until November 27, 2026.

About the Venue

The Bank of Oklahoma Center, also known as the BOK Center, is located downtown and serves as the premier sports and entertainment venue of the greater Tulsa region. Offering a 19,199-seat multi-purpose arena and 565,000 total square feet designed to accommodate concerts, family shows, and other special events, it has been named on multiple occasions one of the country's best venues.  

The Arvest Convention Center is located in the Arena District in downtown Tulsa. ACC is a modern and award-winning venue providing over 275,000 SF of flexible event space. Owned by the City of Tulsa for over 50 years, the ACC has been host to every kind of event imaginable! 

Responsibilities
  • Monitors and operates closed-circuit surveillance, access control, and fire alarm systems.
  • Vets all visitors/contractors, verifies appropriate credentials, and prevents unauthorized access to the premises.
  • Patrols all properties as required and ensures, in a friendly and professional manner, the security of employees, contracted building partners, and visitors.
  • Detects and resolves immediate safety and criminal issues; responds to the scene of an incident and acts as an emergency first responder if required.
  • Acts as property first responder to alarms, medical calls, property damage, etc.
  • Maintains absolute confidentiality on sensitive issues.
  • Maintains accurate notes and log information as required; ensures that all pass-on information is communicated to the next shift.
  • Completes all activity logs, incident reports, repair forms, and other documents in a clear, concise, and legible format in a timely, efficient manner. 
  • Performs person and package/parcel screening according to policies and procedures.
  • Conducts detailed internal investigations into incidents and provides detailed, objective reports for each shift or incident.
  • Attends briefing and training sessions to ensure complete knowledge of policies and upcoming events.
  • Greet all clients, employees, guests, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Follows established security protocols and procedures at all times.
  • Represents the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must be able to work day, evening, and overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to climb stairs, walk and stand for extended periods of time, and lift heavy objects unaided.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks & work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computers is required.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Ability to manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work well unsupervised.
  • Ability to bend, reach, pull, twist, and lift a variety of objects.
