About the role - Area Business Manager - North US & Canada
The primary purpose of the Area Business Manager is to provide strategic leadership and drive revenue growth within a designated geographical business area as a key member of the regional management team, reporting directly to the Commercial Vice President.
The Area Business Manager executes business strategies, oversees growth initiatives, manages key customer contracts and relationships, and ensures alignment with customer business objectives while maintaining operational excellence across commercial, supply chain, and site operations.
What you will be doing
Strategic Planning
  • Demonstrates exemplary leadership and fosters a culture centered on strong customer relationships, innovative solutions, commercial discipline, and commitment to health and safety excellence
  • Promotes operational excellence across business area throughout commercial, supply chain, and site operations to meet customer needs and achieve optimal business performance in line with industry and Orica Group protocols
  • Provides strategic influencing to bring customers and stakeholders on a journey as a key member of the regional management team

Business Development & Contract Management (Commercial Excellence)
  • Viewed by the customer as a business partner who is sought out and consulted on strategic business issues
  • Develops strategic account plans and opportunities for enterprise sales, with decision processes designed for momentum and aligned to the regional and global marketing strategies
  • Maintains a leading market share for the area by leading solutions and service offerings to the market
  • Ensures the business has the highest achievable quality and productivity, with initiatives linked to the achievement of business objectives and consistent with strategies

Compensation
  • Salary Range - $ 139,575 - 195,405 USD
  • Eligible for annual short-term incentive plan
