As our Fleet Maintenance Manager, you'll be the driving force behind our fleet operations-ensuring every vehicle is compliant, road-ready, and equipped for success.

This isn't a mechanic position. Instead, it's an opportunity to lead the administration, coordination, and operational readiness of our growing fleet while partnering with Operations, HR, Safety, and vendors to deliver an exceptional employee experience.
What You'll Do
As Fleet Maintenance Manager, you'll oversee the complete lifecycle of Velociti's company vehicle fleet, including:
Fleet Administration & Compliance
  • Manage vehicle registrations, titling, licensing, insurance, and compliance documentation.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records, including maintenance history, inspections, mileage, and vehicle assignments.
  • Ensure documentation remains organized, audit-ready, and compliant with company standards.
  • Administer fleet management and telematics platforms to ensure data accuracy.
Fleet Maintenance & Vendor Management
  • Build and manage preventive maintenance schedules for the entire fleet.
  • Coordinate repairs and maintenance with approved vendors.
  • Monitor vehicle downtime, maintenance costs, and repair quality.
  • Track rental vehicle usage and ensure timely returns to control costs.
Vehicle Readiness
  • Inspect vehicles before deployment to ensure they are clean, safe, and fully operational.
  • Verify required equipment is stocked and functioning, including GPS devices, safety kits, snow chains, spare tires, tools, and other company equipment.
  • Coordinate vehicle assignments and oversee the return and redeployment process.
Employee Training & Onboarding
  • Lead fleet orientation for new employees.
  • Train technicians on company vehicle policies, safe driving expectations, telematics, and equipment care.
  • Partner with HR and Training to maintain current fleet training materials.
Safety & Regulatory Support
  • Maintain working knowledge of DOT and FMCSA requirements related to fleet administration.
  • Support driver qualification documentation, MVR reviews, and compliance tracking.
  • Coordinate with third-party compliance vendors to ensure deadlines and filings remain current.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor fleet performance and maintenance trends.
  • Produce reports on compliance, fleet readiness, maintenance activity, and vehicle utilization.
  • Recommend improvements that reduce costs, increase efficiency, and improve vehicle longevity.

What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in fleet coordination, fleet administration, transportation operations, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience coordinating vendors, maintenance schedules, and compliance activities.
  • Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance, safety standards, and fleet operations.
  • Experience using fleet management software, telematics platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to train and collaborate across departments.
  • Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing commercial or service vehicle fleets.
  • Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
  • Experience with Geotab, Samsara, J.J. Keller, or similar fleet management and compliance systems.
  • Knowledge of GPS reporting and fleet analytics.
