Green Worldwide Shipping is building a world-class team of sales professionals and seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to generate revenue by attracting international shipping clients in the area. Reporting to the local branch; this individual would oversee building and maintaining relationships with importers and exporters by initiating services, communicating their shipping needs to the operations staff and following up to make sure their needs are being satisfied. How you will be successful...
If you have a proven track record in international logistics and transportation sales. This is a hunter role focused on new customer acquisition and high-volume prospecting. You will identify, qualify, and close new accounts while leveraging subject matter experts internally to deliver tailored solutions across air, ocean, and domestic transportation.
You will maintain a consistent, high-activity rhythm of calls, emails, and outreach to build a strong sales pipeline and achieve growth targets. You will collaborate with internal subject-matter experts (trade, customs, compliance, warehousing, project cargo) to close deals. You must thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and be disciplined about sales metrics, processes, and results. Document daily progression on CRM (Pipedrive)
What you will bring....
  • Proven track record (or strong aptitude) in outbound sales, business development or new-business hunting roles
  • Comfortable and effective making a high volume of outbound calls each day and managing dozens of leads concurrently.
  • A track record demonstrating an ability to develop and grow a customer base
  • Excellent communication skills - you can clearly articulate value propositions, influence decision-makers, present with confidence and collaborate with internal experts.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills: you juggle prospecting, pipeline management, proposal development, follow-up actions.
  • Aptitude, creativity, and a preference for working individually
  • Passion for problem-solving and providing excellent customer service
  • BA/BS degree preferred
  • Salary range $65,000-$95,000 depending on skills and expereince.
