Job description

Join us! BRR Architecture is a national architectural design firm dedicated to creating inspiring architecture for retail, commercial and multi-family needs. If you offer commercial, grocery/retail experience particularly within urban markets, have strong collaborative communication skills and want to contribute to design, coordination and production of cd's and the project lifecycle, we want to meet you. Architectural Design Staff contribute to the overall team and assigned program in coordinating, scheduling, evaluating and developing processes to improve production efficiencies through the effective management of projects and tasks. They will assist in architectural research, document/design development, and program-wide implementation efforts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Evaluate materials, building products, constructability and processes
  • Produce detailed construction documents for projects
  • Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Refrigeration and Structural disciplines
  • Develop and assist in client and peer presentations
  • Attend project and studio meetings
  • Build, develop, and maintain client relations
  • Assist in problem solving of production issues
  • Responsibility for ensuring success of project
  • Review architectural designs, production documents, and construction change directives
  • Conduct site scopes, observation trips, and generate field reports

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Professional accredited degree in Architecture.
  • Licensure not required.
  • Must have the capacity to understand and communicate complex issues that involve the functional and aesthetic areas of architecture.
  • Ability to engage in creative and critical thought and able to graphically communicate concepts and ideas to others effectively.
  • Desire to work in a team-oriented, fast paced environment.
  • Ability to assist in architectural research, document/design development, peer consultation and program-wide implementation efforts.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity of information.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and presentation skills.
  • Must be able to work well with all levels of teammates.
  • Intermediate to Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Computer software knowledge, skills in Revit and AutoCAD are critical. Drive to research and utilize technology in architectural applications.
