Not Your Typical Workplace…

Tired of the 9-to-5 grind? Imagine a world without borders, where opportunities are endless. That's the future of work, and what we're building at WorkMotion.

Our remote-first team spans the globe, helping companies hire, onboard, and manage talent internationally through smart, flexible workforce solutions. Fast-paced, people-driven, and globally connected, we empower businesses to build teams without borders.

More Than a Role

We don't just need another Senior Software Engineerβ€”we're looking for a builder who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges and delivering scalable, high-quality software that creates real business impact.

You'll play a key role in shaping and building the technology powering our Talent Operations platform, working on backend services while contributing to frontend development when needed. You'll influence technical decisions, contribute to system architecture, and collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that support our global business.

We're looking for engineers who embrace modern software development practices and actively leverage AI-powered development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to improve productivity and code quality.

Where Responsibility Meets Real Opportunity…

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services while contributing to frontend features where required.

  • Build high-quality, well-tested software following modern engineering and DevOps best practices.

  • Contribute to architecture, system design, and technical decision-making across the platform.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to deliver impactful solutions.

  • Review code, mentor teammates, and continuously improve engineering standards.

  • Troubleshoot production issues and continuously enhance system performance, reliability, and scalability.

What It Takes to Make an Impact Here…

  • 5–6+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong backend focus and frontend exposure.

  • Strong hands‑on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React, Microservices, REST APIs, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and AWS.

  • Experience designing scalable systems and distributed architectures.

  • Daily experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor and Claude Code.

  • Strong understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD), software engineering best practices, and clean code principles.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.

Bonus Points If You Bring…

  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.

  • Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum or Kanban).

  • Experience building highly scalable SaaS platforms.

  • Passion for continuous learning and adopting modern engineering practices.

Not Your Typical Team…

You'll join our Talent Operations Engineering Team, where we're building the technology that powers global hiring and talent lifecycle operations.

Our fully remote engineering team collaborates across multiple countries, combining deep technical expertise with a strong ownership mindset. We value pragmatic decision‑making, continuous improvement, knowledge sharing, and shipping high-quality software that solves real business problems.

If you enjoy working with experienced engineers, influencing technical direction, and building products that have global impact, you'll feel right at home.

The Perks of Being Here…

  • Global, remote, and thriving: We're a global team of talented individuals spread across 26 countries. Our WorkFlex program lets you work from anywhere, anytime. Whether it's a beachside office or a cosy home office, the choice is yours.

  • Your well-being is our priority: We know mental health matters, which is why we offer a dedicated Well-Being Dayβ€”a full day off just to recharge and relax.

  • Get fit and stay active: Whether it's yoga, weightlifting, or a quick jog, work out on your terms with our subsidised gym memberships.

  • Stay connected: Take part in exciting annual team meetups.

  • Diversity is our superpower: We're proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
