Position Overview

Are you a visionary designer ready to transition from drafting plans to orchestrating the future of the Southeast's landscape? We are seeking a Landscape Architect Project Manager to lead high-impact projects from our Savannah office. In this role, you aren't just managing tasks—you are the lead architect of sustainable environments, responsible for steering complex designs from initial concept through final construction. You will serve as the technical and creative heartbeat of a multidisciplinary team, ensuring every project leaves a lasting legacy of design excellence.

Joining our team means becoming part of an award-winning firm recognized as one of the "Best Places to Work." Our culture is built on the foundation of professional growth and collective success; as an employee-owned firm, your contributions directly fuel your own long-term wealth through our ESOP. Here, you will find a platform that prizes innovation, mentors the next generation of designers, and provides the autonomy needed to deliver world-class client service within a stable, collaborative environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Visionary Project Leadership: Direct the full lifecycle of landscape architecture projects, ensuring that schedules, budgets, and the highest quality standards are met from conception to completion.

  • Strategic Team Mentorship: Guide and inspire a team of landscape architects, fostering a culture of professional growth, high performance, and creative collaboration.

  • Multidisciplinary Integration: Partner with internal civil, environmental, and structural engineering teams to develop seamless, high-quality design solutions that harmonize with complex site constraints.

  • Client Stewardship: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, building enduring relationships through proactive communication, expert consultation, and superior project delivery.

  • Sustainable Design Advocacy: Apply advanced sustainable design principles and best practices to ensure all projects are resilient, innovative, and compliant with evolving environmental standards.

  • Business Development & Advocacy: Support the firm's growth by leading proposal preparations, participating in client interviews, and representing the team at industry networking events.

  • Operational Excellence: Continuously refine project workflows and tools to enhance efficiency and maintain the firm's reputation for technical precision.

  • Entitlement Authority: Navigate the complexities of site planning, local regulations, and the permitting process to ensure efficient project approvals.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.

  • Licensure: Active Professional Licensure or Registration as a Landscape Architect (RLA/PLA).

  • Experience: 8–10+ years of progressive experience in landscape architecture design and project management.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong background in site planning, the entitlement process, and managing comprehensive project budgets and cost estimates.

  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading and motivating multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Software Expertise: Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, or GIS platforms.

  • Sector Diversity: Previous experience specifically within large-scale master-planned communities or municipal park systems.

  • Regional Knowledge: Deep familiarity with Georgia/South Carolina local regulations and permitting agencies.
