A leading global architecture and engineering firm with over 100 years of legacy is seeking a Civil Engineer/Project Manager for their Dallas, Frisco, Houston, and Forth Worth, Texas offices. This established firm specializes in transformative design across multiple sectors, with offices strategically located throughout the United States. Their portfolio encompasses federal, healthcare, hospitality, aviation, education, and commercial projects, delivered through integrated architecture, engineering, and interior design services.
Join a leading civil engineering and environmental design firm as a Project Manager specializing in water and wastewater treatment infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact public infrastructure projects from concept through completion while mentoring the next generation of engineers and designers.
Position Overview:
Project Manager - Water & Wastewater Treatment
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering water and wastewater treatment projects on time and within budget. You will coordinate resources, define project objectives, manage quality control, and serve as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Execution & Delivery
  • Manage the daily execution of water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring deliverables remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and subconsultants, managing schedules, task assignments, and resource allocation.
  • Lead design coordination efforts, reviewing technical documents for quality, consistency, and constructability.

Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Serve as the day-to-day project contact, facilitating clear and proactive communication with clients to ensure alignment on project goals.
  • Support the development of project scopes, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with senior leadership and technical staff.
  • Assist with regulatory coordination and permitting, navigating agency requirements with support from technical leads.

Risk Management & Problem-Solving
  • Identify project risks early and collaborate with team members and senior project managers to develop practical solutions.
  • Monitor project performance and implement adjustments as needed to maintain quality and schedule.

Leadership & Mentorship
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers, providing technical support and helping them grow into larger project roles.
  • Participate in proposal development and project scoping discussions, supporting business growth while building your own client management skills.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • 8+ years of experience managing projects, preferably in water/wastewater treatment or related infrastructure.
  • Strong graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with project delivery from initiation through closeout.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary design team.

Preferred:
  • Professional Engineer (PE), Registered Architect, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) license.
  • Market-specific certifications related to water/wastewater or environmental engineering.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and coordinating across multiple disciplines.

What You'll Gain:
  • Leadership opportunities on meaningful infrastructure projects that serve communities.
  • Professional development and mentorship to advance your career.
  • A collaborative, multi-disciplinary team environment where your contributions make a tangible impact.
