Aprio invites high-performing accounting students interested in Audit or Tax to apply for the 2027 Aprio Spring (January-April) or Summer (June-August) Internship Programs.

This internship is designed for students who are eager to contribute, take initiative, and gain meaningful exposure to public accounting. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, effective communication skills, leadership potential, and a commitment to professional excellence. Applicants should be interested in pursuing a full-time career in public accounting, be on track to pursue their CPA license, and have a clear plan for completing the required coursework and examination process.

Interns at Aprio dive directly into hands-on client work, collaborating with experienced professionals while developing the technical and professional skills necessary for a successful career in public accounting.

Internship Requirements
  • No classes are permitted during the duration of the internship period.
  • Spring internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and standard business hours.
  • Summer internships are 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, and standard business hours.
  • This internship is designed as a hybrid experience, requiring at least 3 days in office, to maximize mentorship, collaboration, and real-time learning with our teams.
Internship Experience

Position Responsibilities Tax Intern

Tax intern responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with the preparation of tax returns
  • Supporting clients in tax research and planning strategies
  • Analyzing financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and compliance considerations
  • Collaborating with team members to deliver innovative and practical tax solutions
  • Interacting with professionals across the firm to support client service initiatives

Aprio's Tax team works with a variety of clients, providing interns the opportunity to gain exposure to complex tax matters while developing meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients.

Students who enjoy analytical problem-solving, strategic thinking, and collaborative work environments will find our tax practice to be an excellent place to learn and grow.

Audit Intern

Audit intern responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting with assurance engagements
  • Supporting teams in evaluating internal controls and financial reporting processes
  • Analyzing financial data and documentation to identify potential risks or areas for improvement
  • Participating in testing procedures and audit documentation
  • Collaborating with team members to help clients maintain compliance with evolving accounting standards
  • Potential travel to client sites

Aprio's Audit teams work with a variety of organizations, offering interns valuable exposure to complex business environments and financial reporting challenges.

Students who enjoy investigating financial information, solving problems, and working collaboratively with clients and colleagues will thrive in our audit practice.

Qualifications
  • Accounting Major 
  • 3.0 or higher GPA 
  • Understanding and applying excel skills 
  • Demonstrating exceptional verbal and written communication skills are required 
  • Working effectively and personably with clients and co-workers 
$33 - $38 an hour
Salary varies by internship and office location.
