JOB DESCRIPTION
TITLE: Registered Youth Apprenticeship - Teacher Intern
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Successful completion of Pathways to Teaching Class or Child Development Class
2. Sincere desire to teach and work with students
3. Ability to communicate effectively
4. Ability to understand and follow instructions
REPORTS TO: Director of Academies
JOB GOAL: To learn and develop the skills and knowledge required to teach while
under the supervision of a highly qualified educator.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Learn and develop the skills required to teach
2. Exhibit enthusiasm to learn and an interest in teaching and learning
3. Perform assigned tasks properly.
4. Participate in regular progress reviews.
5. Performs other duties as required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Be able to lift 50 pounds.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: "At will" employment; compensation at an hourly rate paid
monthly from time sheet.
TYPE OF POSITION: Non-Exempt
EVALUATION: On-going evaluation by the assigned Cooperating Teacher and
evaluated annually by the Director of Academies and/or Cooperating Teacher
