Basic Duties
As a Commercial Engine Shop Technician, you'll be at the forefront of repairing, overhauling, maintaining, and troubleshooting power generation equipment. Your expertise will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction, and you'll be responsible for:
  • Performing troubleshooting and repairs on engine-generators and associated accessory equipment.
  • Conducting routine maintenance and overhauls of engine-generators as needed.
  • Collaborating with the service office to plan and execute work orders efficiently.
  • Assisting with the removal, transportation, and handling of large equipment as required.
  • Providing outstanding customer service and assisting in preparing repair quotes.

Qualifications
To thrive in this exciting opportunity, we look for the following qualifications:
  • A minimum 2-year degree from an accredited Diesel Engine Technology Program or equivalent experience in mechanical/electrical service work.
  • PC skills with experience in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel (preferred).
  • An outstanding positive attitude that shines through in all interactions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective collaboration with the team and customers.
  • Manual dexterity to operate equipment and tools required for the job.
  • The ability to respond quickly and accurately to signals and adjust controls with precision.
  • A clean driving record with a valid driver's license. This includes no more than 2 minor violations within the past 3 years and no major violations within the past 5 years (Motor Vehicle Report will be performed on final candidate).

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
As a Commercial Engine Shop Technician, you will engage in hands-on work, involving extensive standing, walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and lifting up to 70 lbs.
