Job description

Prestige Staffing Services is seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to lead a team of Technicians in repairing and maintaining Class 8 trucks and heavy equipment for a 1st shift direct hire opportunity with outstanding benefits.

Total compensation is based on experience and ranges from $70k/yr-$90k/yr.



Primary Responsibilities


  • Perform general repairs on all parts of Class 8 trucks and trailers
  • Engine rebuilds
  • Troubleshoot and repair the electrical systems, aftertreatment systems, and hydraulic systems
  • Rebuild Cummins engines
  • Lead and train technicians
  • Welding and fabrication as needed.
  • Make recommendations for process system improvements.

Qualifications

  • Must be in a lead tech role or similar leadership role for 5 plus years.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with general knowledge of DOT truck maintenance requirements.
  • Must have strong welding and fabrication skills.
  • Must be highly self-motivated and a team player
  • Class A CDL license a plus.
