About the role:

Our Data Center Operations team is the backbone of CoreWeave's AI cloud infrastructure, ensuring our mission-critical data centers operate with exceptional reliability, security, and performance. We're a hands-on, collaborative team that thrives on solving complex technical challenges and continuously improving the systems that power some of the world's most demanding AI workloads.

What You'll Do:

As a Data Center Technician Apprentice, you'll launch your IT career while working alongside experienced technicians who will provide hands-on coaching, real-time feedback, and mentorship every step of the way. From day one, you'll gain practical experience in a cutting-edge AI cloud environment, developing the technical skills needed to support enterprise-scale infrastructure while contributing to the performance and reliability of our data centers.

On a typical day, you'll:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot server, networking, and hardware issues in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Provide hands-on technical support alongside experienced data center technicians and engineers.
  • Assemble, rack, cable, and install enterprise-grade servers, networking equipment, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Perform hardware upgrades, preventative maintenance, and equipment replacements to maximize system reliability.
  • Learn to automate operational tasks by developing or modifying scripts that support server and network operations.
  • Investigate hardware and software failures, perform root cause analysis, and help implement long-term solutions.
  • Follow industry-leading safety, security, and operational best practices while working in a mission-critical data center.

Apprenticeship Cohorts & Location Details

  • Cohort Dates: August 31st – October 9th (6-week program).
  • Training Structure: The first 4 weeks are hands-on training at our Denton, TX site, followed by the final 2 weeks at your assigned data center location.
  • Locations: Candidates will be aligned to either our Ellendale, ND, or Dalton, GA data center location during the interview process. While we are primarily targeting candidates who currently reside in or near these markets, applicants from other locations will be considered. Candidates who are not already based in their assigned market must be willing to relocate after successfully completing the apprenticeship program.
Who You Are
  • No prior professional experience in data centers is required. We are looking for candidates with a strong interest in technology, a willingness to learn, and the ability to thrive in a hands-on environment.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check.
  • Must have basic computer literacy and a foundational understanding of hardware components.
  • Ability to lift to 50lbs and work in a physically active environment.
  • Willingness to work varied schedules, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Comfortable working in climate-controlled environments (hot and cold aisles, 60°F–90°F).

The base pay for this position is $25/hour. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location, and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is not eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity, or a comprehensive benefits package.
