Mechanical Engineer

Reporting to Team Leader

Various Shift Patterns Available

Role Summary
To work as part of a multi-disciplined shift team to maintain the assets within the Centre to optimise the utilisation of the equipment and to deliver maximum volume at the right quality. Working closely with the Shift / Production Managers and technicians to provide a quick response to line breakdowns and to support asset improvement. To provide engineering and operational support to the Centre.

Key Responsibilities

  • To carry out maintenance duties to support production either planned or in support of breakdowns or commissioning
  • Will be trained to safely carry out work on equipment located in production areas across Kitt Green
  • Will be expected to use the SAP system to report work done and contribute to the overall effectiveness by assisting in planning
  • Will be expected to participate in training and to train others including apprentices
  • Will work to the highest Engineering standards to fully support RU and product quality
  • Proactive and willing to challenge the status quo and initiate improvements
  • Expected Experience and Required Skills

  • Qualified to ONC or equivalent level.
  • Time served apprentice
