The high-paying mechanic job often refers to specialized roles such as heavy-duty diesel technicians or master mechanics working in large fleet maintenance or industrial settings, where advanced skills, certifications, and experience are required. These positions can offer salaries around $160,000 due to the complexity and demand for expertise in diesel engines, diagnostics, and repair tools. Ford, like many manufacturers, may struggle to fill such roles because they require extensive training and experience beyond standard automotive repair skills.
