Job description

Position: Diesel Mechanic

Location: Miami, FL

6-12 month contract to hire

Pay Rate: $32-$36 Hourly Based on Experience

Looking to HIRE RIGHT AWAY!!!

Overview:
Insight Global is seeking a Diesel Truck Mechanic for a client in the Miami area. This individual will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of trucks to ensure maximum uptime and safety. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working on commercial trucks and be comfortable performing both preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel trucks and mobile equipment
  • Repair and maintain air brake systems, vehicle air conditioning systems, and hydraulics
  • Diagnose and repair electrical systems (12V and 24V DC)
  • Report equipment breakdowns and generate detailed work orders
  • Prepare and document maintenance and repair activities
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and ensure safe operating conditions
  • Follow all company safety standards, policies, and environmental regulations

Schedule & Requirements:

  • Schedule released daily at 2:30 PM
  • Must be able to work 10+ hour shifts as needed
  • Must be flexible to work early shifts, nights, and weekends
  • Candidates must provide their own tools

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 2–5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic working on commercial trucks, manufacturing equipment, or both
  • Strong knowledge of truck electrical systems, hydraulics, driveline, suspension, and air brake systems
  • Experience with mobile AC systems
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
  • ASE Certifications
  • Spanish-speaking abilities
