Job description

Inside Sales Representative – B2B Appointment Setting

Pay:$21.00 – $24.00

**Schedule: **Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to generate new business opportunities for our sales team. This position focuses on outbound B2B prospecting, identifying decision-makers, and scheduling qualified onsite appointments.

You will contact companies that may benefit from Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) solutions. Most conversations will be with maintenance supervisors, fleet maintenance supervisors, plant managers, and other operational decision-makers.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is confident on the phone, motivated by goals, and interested in building a long-term sales career.

Responsibilities

  • Make approximately 60 or more outbound B2B calls each day.
  • Research prospective companies before making contact.
  • Navigate gatekeepers and identify the correct decision-makers.
  • Explain the value of Vendor Managed Inventory solutions.
  • Schedule qualified onsite appointments, site surveys, and presentations.
  • Maintain accurate prospect information, call notes, and follow-up schedules.
  • Track activity and results using Excel, CRM systems, and prospecting tools.
  • Meet daily, weekly, and monthly goals for calls, appointments, and conversions.
  • Conduct consistent follow-up with potential customers.
  • Coordinate with Business Development and Regional Sales teams to ensure smooth handoffs.
  • Focus on creating quality sales opportunities—not simply completing calls.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with outbound calling, lead generation, telemarketing, inside sales, or appointment setting.
  • B2B sales experience is strongly preferred.
  • Confident communicating with supervisors, managers, and business owners.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and handling objections.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.
  • Organized with excellent follow-up and time-management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Excel, CRM platforms, and online prospecting tools.
  • Dependable, professional, goal-oriented, and receptive to coaching.
  • MRO, industrial supply, manufacturing, fleet, or maintenance industry experience is a plus, but training is available.

You should be proficient in:

  • Inside Sales
  • b2b
  • appointment setting
