Job description

Overview
At Corgan we are passionate about great design but the best thing we build is each other. Here, you'll find camaraderie and collaboration as abundantly as curiosity and creativity. Corgan is a welcoming and supportive environment that provides significant career advantages. You'll find room to grow, freedom to explore - and the safety to fail. Thank you for your interest in joining our curious, passionate, hardworking team.
This person owns the health, delivery, and roadmap of Corgan's enterprise platform estate. Your own depth is in HRIS, particularly UKG, and the portfolio you lead also spans Microsoft Dynamics 365 (CRM), ATS, and Financial Management systems. The role reports to the Director of Business Technology.
This is a people-leadership role first. You will galvanize a team of analysts and platform specialists and activate the broader set of resources each effort needs, including contributors and vendor partners who do not report to you. You will set the operating standards the team works to and stay close enough to the work to guide the hardest calls.
At Corgan, we value a highly collaborative environment to achieve shared goals. Accordingly, this is advertised as a primarily onsite position in the Dallas, TX office.
Responsibilities
This role is responsible for leading the Platform Services & Operations team and owning the delivery and operational health of the enterprise platform portfolio, with personal depth anchored in HRIS and UKG. Key responsibilities include:
Team Leadership & People Development
  • Galvanize, lead, coach, and grow a team of business analysts and platform specialists toward a shared set of outcomes
  • Activate and direct the resources each initiative needs, including matrixed contributors and vendor partners who do not report to you, and hold them accountable to their commitments
  • Set clear expectations, give direct and timely feedback, and develop each person's trajectory
  • Own performance for the function, and build a culture that holds quality and accountability without micromanaging

Project & Portfolio Leadership
  • Own the operational roadmap for the service and operations platform estate and prioritize work against business value, risk, and capacity
  • Manage complex, multi-phase platform initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget
  • Coordinate with cross-functional shared services partners (HR, Accounting, Marketing, Legal) as well as within the IT team for shared dependencies

Business Analysis & Requirements Management
  • Oversee requirements analysis, process mapping, and gap analysis across the portfolio
  • Ensure functional specifications, user stories, and documentation meet a consistent standard
  • Facilitate or guide stakeholder workshops and requirements validation sessions

System Configuration & Optimization
  • Stay current in HRIS and UKG configuration and architecture, enough to review the team's work and unblock difficult problems
  • Set configuration direction, release adoption, and platform standards across UKG and the adjacent estate (Dynamics 365, ATS, FMS)
  • Regularly step into hands-on delivery as a contributing resource

Vendor & Budget Management
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships across supported platforms, including scope, performance, and renewals
  • Own the function's budget inputs and maintain a clear view of platform spend and value

Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Establish testing standards across the team, covering UAT, system, integration, and regression testing
  • Ensure defect resolution, data integrity, and system performance meet business requirements

Stakeholder Management & Training
  • Serve as the senior business liaison for the platform portfolio
  • Represent platform operations in leadership planning and present clearly to stakeholders
  • Lead change management activities that drive durable adoption

Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor platform performance and cost, and act on opportunities to improve both
  • Uphold data quality and access-governance standards across the estate, ensuring deduplication and least-privilege practices are applied consistently by the team
  • Mature the team's operating practices for configuration, testing, documentation, and change management
  • Lead post-implementation reviews and feed the lessons back into how the team works

Qualifications
Qualified candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, the ability to galvanize a team and motivate others toward shared outcomes, and strong problem-solving skills and effective written and verbal communication. The candidate must have experience working with both internal and external partners. The candidate should also have a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required:
  • 3+ years of people-leadership experience, leading and developing technical or analyst teams (formal management or sustained team-lead responsibility)
  • 5+ years of hands-on HRIS experience, with demonstrated depth in UKG (UKG Pro and/or Workforce Management), including configuration and full implementations. This is a hard requirement for the role.
  • Demonstrated ability to galvanize a team and activate others as resources, mobilizing people and vendor partners who do not report to you toward delivery and holding them accountable to outcomes
  • Proven track record of owning a platform or application portfolio and its operational service delivery
  • Strong command of business analysis and delivery practice: requirements gathering, process mapping, solution design, and the full testing lifecycle
  • Experience with Agile project management methodologies and SDLC processes
  • Vendor management and budget ownership experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present to stakeholders and leadership
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices
  • Experience with cloud-based enterprise applications and integrations

Preferred candidates will have:
  • An advanced degree
  • Experience standing up or maturing a platform operations or service delivery function
  • Continual learning demonstrated through certifications, like:
    • UKG Pro Certification (HR, Payroll)
    • Project Management Professional (PMP)
    • ITIL Foundation or equivalent service management credential
    • iCIMS Product Knowledge or iCIMS Academy Certifications
    • MB-280 or MB-310 (Microsoft Dynamics 365) for broader portfolio familiarity
    • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP)
    • Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, CSPO) or Lean Six Sigma
