Come join us as a Module Equipment Technician supporting either NSMi or WPM operations at our Rio Rancho, New Mexico manufacturing facility. Together, we are expanding Intel's Innovation Hub and investing in the future of semiconductor manufacturing while creating thousands of new jobs.

You will play a critical role in maintaining and improving advanced manufacturing equipment in a high-tech, cleanroom environment, contributing directly to safety, quality, and production performance.

Job Responsibilities

The Module Equipment Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing equipment performance. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to diagnose issues with manufacturing equipment
  • Disassemble, adjust, repair, install, and assemble equipment using layout plans, blueprints, manuals, and technical documentation
  • Execute equipment setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance; coordinate with suppliers for service and repairs
  • Monitor, analyze, and interpret equipment and performance data to improve tool reliability, availability, and module performance
  • Document system failures; update and create equipment specifications to support maintenance and performance improvements
  • Partner with engineering teams to execute experiments, tool configuration changes, and data collection activities
  • Support engineering troubleshooting efforts through data analysis and controlled experimentation
  • Collaborate with module engineering and construction teams during factory ramps to ensure tools are installed, converted, and qualified per requirements
  • Maintain strict adherence to safety, quality, and procedural standards

Note: This role requires regular onsite presence to fulfill essential job responsibilities.

Work Schedule & Physical Requirements

Candidates must be willing and able to:

  • Work a compressed schedule of three consecutive 12-hour shifts, followed by alternating 4-day workweeks

Day Shift Options:

  • Shift 4: AM/PM Sun-Tues + alternating Wednesdays
  • Shift 7: AM/PM Thurs-Sat + alternating Wednesdays

Night Shift Options:

  • Shift 5: PM-AM Sun-Tues + alternating Saturdays
  • Shift 6: PM-AM Wed-Fri + alternating Saturdays
Work Conditions
  • Work in a cleanroom environment wearing PPE (coveralls, hood, booties, safety glasses, gloves, respirator as required)
  • Lift up to 25 lbs, up to five times per day
  • Stand, walk (2-4 miles per shift), and sit for extended periods (up to 9 hours)
  • Spend majority of shift (>90%) in cleanroom (excluding breaks)
  • Climb ladders as needed
  • Work in proximity to chemicals while following strict safety protocols

Additional Information
  • This position supports either NSMi or WPM manufacturing operations
  • This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship
  • 2-year contract with potential for conversion to a permanent role based on performance and business needs

Qualifications

Candidates must meet at least one of the following:

  • HS/GED or higher non-semi degree & 1+ year Technical certification or trade school OR

  • HS/GED or higher non-semi degree & 2+ years hand on experience including military technical experience OR

  • HS/GED or higher non-semi degree & 1+ year semi equip maintenance experience OR

  • Associate degree STEM Related to semi. Mfg.(MET)/STEM (operator)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining semiconductor manufacturing equipment.

  • Proficiency using hand tools, electrical meters, and calibration tools.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $52,000.00-$200,000.00 (Hourly Role)The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations.
