Sr. IPT Engineer
Duration: 12 Months+
Location: SFO, CA
The qualified candidate will provide post-sales implementation support and services to customers using various Cisco technologies which will include:
Cisco Voice (Expert Knowledge of Unified Communications Manager, Unity, Unity Connection, Contact Center Express, H.323/MGCP Gateways, Gatekeepers etc.) (Basic Knowledge of Meeting Place Express, Unified Media Engine, Presence etc..)
Cisco Route/Switch (Expert Knowledge of Routers, Switches, QoS etc.) (Basic Knowledge of Nexus Switches)
Act as a primary technical contact for providing consultative, proactive and/or reactive support to assigned accounts/customers. The qualified candidate will oversee planning, design, implementation, and operation of customer Cisco IPT projects and participate in the specification of customer requirements and implementation plans for technically advanced Voice solutions. The qualified candidate will manage implementation of customer projects, from both technical and communication aspects
They will provide technical consulting, implementation and configuration for various Cisco IPT products and services at customer locations and perform advanced-level troubleshooting. They will serve as a liaison to vendors and/or third-party providers as assigned. The qualified candidate will also provide on-site and remote technical assistance to other resources and to customers. They will provide mentoring to other operations resources, and act in a lead technical or adjunct management capacity as directed.
Requirements: The qualified candidate will need a minimum of six years of advanced related practical experience and also experience working with various Cisco IPT equipment/products. Must possess a strong sense of ethics, plus excellent interpersonal and customer service skills in regards to internal and external customers and must be able to react professionally under potentially difficult or stressful circumstances. A bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g. Computer Science, IT, or similar disciplines) is required. Must have a valid driver's license for principal state of employment.
Certifications required: CCIE Voice plus a minimum of 6 years related IPT, network engineering and customer support experience. Must also be proficient in designing, installing, and integrating Cisco Voice into LAN/WAN environments to ensure interoperability of complex conceptual and tactical solutions to customer's networks and develop strong relationships and be able to work with customer technical personnel to provide high level support & debug network problems at advanced levels of complexity.
