We are currently seeking a Calibration Technician to join our team! Under the direction of the Calibration Supervisor, you will be responsible perform calibration of geotechnical instrumentation, including set-up, testing, and analyzing measurement instruments ensuring they are within GEOKON established acceptance criteria.



Requirements:
  • Set up calibration equipment specific to the instruments being calibrated
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance
  • Utilize equipment to monitor, test, and calibrate geotechnical equipment to established acceptance criteria
  • Perform pressure, angle, displacement, compression, and tension calibration traceable to NIST compliance with ISO requirements
  • Diagnose and trouble shoot instrument failures
  • Generate documentation for out of tolerance conditions for Engineering review and approval
  • Collect, analyze, review, and save calibration data
  • Maintain daily output report
  • Print, file, and scan calibration reports to designated locations
  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and quality procedures


Your Contributions

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred
  • Experience with instrumentation, calibration, metrology, or testing environments preferred
  • Proficiency Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to safely lift and maneuver calibration fixtures/ instrumentation assemblies weighing up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time
