Job Summary and Key responsibilities

This is an opportunity to join a dynamic, highly motivated team that collaborates daily with major electronics brands across the Americas to develop innovative products integrating RFID technology.

In this role, you will develop a unique set of competencies in protocols and system architectures built on RFID technologies. Over time, you will gain a comprehensive and uncommon understanding of end-to-end identification solutions and serve as a trusted technical reference for internal stakeholders and local customers across the Americas.

In this pivotal role, you will connect customer needs to product features and influence product roadmaps and value propositions. You will also articulate these capabilities to customers, helping define innovative requirements and driving business impact for NXP.

Mandatory Skills and Credentials:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a major and/or concentration in Radio Frequencies (RF)
  • Coursework in Wireless Communications, Antennas, and Microwaves
  • Hands-on experience with network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and RF simulation and debugging tools
  • Exposure to schematic and layout reviews for RF sections
  • Proficiency in C and scripting languages

Differentiating Skills:

  • 1-2 years of experience with RF antenna design review and simulation
  • Experience with schematic and layout design for RF sections
  • Knowledge of regulatory testing such as EMVCo, NFC ISO, and/or RAIN/RFID
  • 1-2 years of experience, ideally with a proven track record in customer-facing roles

Summary of Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality HW and RF technical support to assigned customers with excellence in both content and responsiveness
  • Lead proof-of-concept activities, solution design, and demonstrations to differentiate NXP solutions from the competition and secure wins
  • Synthesize customer and competitive insights to improve product definition and roadmaps
  • Develop a strong understanding of ecosystem solutions to position NXP in the best possible manner
  • Qualify sales opportunities based on customer technical requirements and establish NXP's value proposition relative to the competition
  • Articulate the value of NXP products by highlighting strengths versus competing solutions and quantifying the technical benefits of choosing NXP
  • Own the block diagram process to ensure the broader technical team understands full system requirements
  • Deliver ongoing formal and informal knowledge sharing and product positioning that help assigned accounts understand the operational, financial, and business impact of NXP solutions within their practice areas
  • Build strong relationships with sales team members, business lines, R&D, partners, and customers in support of sales team objectives
  • Support the education of Field Sales Engineers on new technologies, new product features, and their related business value

The base salary range for this position is as mentioned below per year. We also provide competitive benefits, incentive compensation, and/or equity for certain roles.

Please note that the base salary range (OR hourly rate) is a guideline, and individual total compensation may vary based on a number of factors such as qualifications, skill level, work location, and other business and organizational needs. This base pay range is specific to California and is not applicable to other locations. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range as of the date of this posting is:
